• Welcome to My Creative Year!

Thanks so much for coming to see what I've been up to. I'm in the midst of a self-challenge to *create* for a year straight. I needed something to fill a weird void I was feeling, and exploring different styles of art and creativity seems to fit the bill! So, Welcome! I'm glad you've come for a visit...
  • Heartfelt Thanks

I don't always have a chance to thank everyone who leaves such lovely comments on my projects. I just want to express my appreciation for your encouragement and compliments on my creative journey. You are all greatly appreciated!

Coffee Cup Cozy #2

I wasn’t too impressed with my first attempt at the coffee cup cozy that I made for a Christmas gift, so I decided to make another one.  I like this one a whole bunch more.  What’cha think?

I embroidered the little smiley coffee cup onto some wool felt (I love that green wool!!!)  There’s two layers of the wool, which I edge stitched together so there’s some good insulation for the heat of the paper coffee cup.  I think it turned out much better than my original version, and I’ll feel much better giving this one as a gift.  🙂

  1. The coffee cozy is adorable! So much cuter than the standard carboard ones! I love that you did a redo and it turned out more to your liking. I think there’s no such thing as bad art, but sometimes I like do-overs too. I am happy to find your work through December Views!

  2. Oh my! I’m not sure it’s brilliant, but than you so much! 🙂 It was fun to make…

  3. oh my goodness !! its brilliant … i love it!
