• Welcome to My Creative Year!

Thanks so much for coming to see what I've been up to. I'm in the midst of a self-challenge to *create* for a year straight. I needed something to fill a weird void I was feeling, and exploring different styles of art and creativity seems to fit the bill! So, Welcome! I'm glad you've come for a visit...
  • Heartfelt Thanks

I don't always have a chance to thank everyone who leaves such lovely comments on my projects. I just want to express my appreciation for your encouragement and compliments on my creative journey. You are all greatly appreciated!

Creativity – in all shapes and sizes

Creativity, in my oh-so-humble opinion, is simply making something with your hands and your mind.  It doesn’t have to give Rembrant a run for his money.  It doesn’t have to take up a place of prominence in a gallery.  A museum doesn’t have to covet its display.  My creativity this week is all about country living.  Doing something I haven’t done in eons that took my mind, but mostly my hands.  And it felt good.

I made myself two loaves of homemade bread last night, and today I shook myself a jar of handmade butter from local cream.

Who says creativity needs to involve paint or paper or fabric?  For me, this week, it involved the art of handmade love.

And there you have it.  This week’s creativity is food.  Now it’s snack time!
