• Welcome to My Creative Year!

Thanks so much for coming to see what I've been up to. I'm in the midst of a self-challenge to *create* for a year straight. I needed something to fill a weird void I was feeling, and exploring different styles of art and creativity seems to fit the bill! So, Welcome! I'm glad you've come for a visit...
  • Heartfelt Thanks

I don't always have a chance to thank everyone who leaves such lovely comments on my projects. I just want to express my appreciation for your encouragement and compliments on my creative journey. You are all greatly appreciated!

Collage of this past week’s projects

I made a collage on Picasa of some of my projects from the past 12 days.  I added Alice because she looks like she’s checking out my butterflies.  🙂

Heading out the door to hit up some craft stores and discount stores.  I’m on the lookout for traditional valentines.  Everything I’ve seen (in my not-very-extensive search) has been pop culture stuff – Disney characters, stuff from movies and current cartoons.  Nothing I have any affinity for.  So I’m going to stop off at the Hallmark store in town too – I’m sure they exist because one of my girlfriends sent me a valentine from her and her son, and it was totally old school.  The pictures on them are just so awesome – you can use them in so many projects, not just V-Day ones…

Anyway – so away I go.  I have some ideas in mind for this weekend’s projects.  A challenge on postage stamps (already worked on something like that last week) posted over on Crazy Amigo.  I’m also considering trying my hand at a simple reliquary dedicated to my Mom.  Feb 16th is the anniversary of her passing, so I want to make a project dedicated to her.  I love you Mom!

Have a fabulous weekend!
