• Welcome to My Creative Year!

Thanks so much for coming to see what I've been up to. I'm in the midst of a self-challenge to *create* for a year straight. I needed something to fill a weird void I was feeling, and exploring different styles of art and creativity seems to fit the bill! So, Welcome! I'm glad you've come for a visit...
  • Heartfelt Thanks

I don't always have a chance to thank everyone who leaves such lovely comments on my projects. I just want to express my appreciation for your encouragement and compliments on my creative journey. You are all greatly appreciated!

ATC#1: You’ve Got Mail

Inspiration: Think Monday – Think ATC Weekly Challenge – “You’ve Got Mail”

This is my first ever Artist Trading Card.  It’s basically two playing cards glued together with a “door” cut out
to make a little mailbox. Inside I glued a picture of some mountains
and a highway that I cut out of a state map, made a tiny envelope out of some scrap paper and stuck a stamp inside.  The tab to pull the stamp out of the envelope is actually a tiny scrap I cut off an envelop from the day’s mail! I used
acrylic paints and watercolors to color the piece.

You've Got Mail

I’ll post more pictures to do with the making of this card – but right now my computer’s bein’ an SOB when it comes to uploading pictures, and I’ve done lost my patience!  LOL

If you’re really dying to see how this ATC was made, you can visit here.  I’ve been cross-posting since I started this blog – trying to figure out which format I like better: WordPress or Blogger.  They both have their ups and downs…  If you have any insight, please be sure to share!
